Woodland Group to Relocate its Chelmsford Head Office
After 14 remarkable years of their UK headquarter, our X2 Elite members - Woodland Global Ltd being their Montrose Road site in Chelmsford, they are excited to embark on a new chapter by relocating their Head Office function to newly refurbished premises in the heart of Chelmsford Town Centre. This will see their headquarter operations run out of office space independently located to their quickly growing warehousing and fulfillment operations in the UK.
They have meticulously planned for this transition since the decision to move was made as part of a strategic plan in line with their expansion goals. This plan has seen them successfully increase their warehousing capacity in Essex through acquisitions in Harlow, Marks Tey, and Wickford, totalling 130,000 square feet. A further 40,000 square ft expansion is planned for the middle of 2024, further bolstering their presence in the region. Their warehouse footprint across the UK has seen a substantial growth of 360,000 square feet since 2020, making this one of the fastest growing solutions within Woodland Group and resulting in them focussing on securing locations that benefit their growing number of clients and suite of warehousing and fulfillment services.
In the meantime, their new UK headquarter will now be a walking distance away from the main train station, hotels, and local transport infrastructure and they look forward to hosting many of you there in due course.
This move marks another milestone in Woodland's journey of growth and success. By creating differentiated space for enhanced and streamlined operations that will facilitate sustainable processes and development, they are reaffirming their commitment to progress and excellence.
Their CEO, Kevin Stevens, emphasized that “This relocation solidifies their position as a cornerstone of the Chelmsford and Essex business community. It goes hand in hand with their dedication to supporting local initiatives such as Essex Cricket, Chelmsford Rugby Club, and Panathlon, and positions them strategically to support local, national, and international initiatives and their network. As they embark on this exciting journey, they look forward to continuing their legacy of innovation, service, and community engagement."
